Abstract (EN)

2-Chloropyridine (2-KP) is an important precursor of cosmetics, pesticides and other technologies, as well as the chemical structure of agricultural chemicals in industrial wastewater and the trace chemical for the products of metabolites of river pollutants. Here, 2-KP is cytotoxic and genotoxic in Allium cepa root meristematic environment 2-KP root development, mitotic index (MI), chromosomal abnormality (KA)'s DNA and DNA damage are dried. The EC50 value of 2-KP is approximately 50 ppm by the Allium root growth inhibition test. A. cepa roots ½xEC50 (25 ppm), EC50 (50 ppm) and 2xEC50 (100 ppm) 2-KP, methylmethanesulfonate (MMS-10 ppm, positive control) and distilled water (negative control) (24, 48, 72 and 96 hours). When 2-KP shows cytotoxic effects by decreasing root growth and MI, it significantly affects CAs (impaired anaphase-telophase, persistent chromosome, adhesion, anaphase bridges and polyploidy) and DNA damage. Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and the number of 2-KP's that passed into Allium roots increased both time and dose.
