Abstract (EN)
Efforts to reduce or remove tariff and non-tariff barriers, facilitating trade and reducing costs in foreign trade, gained momentum with the liberalization of trade in the world. Trade Facilitation is important agenda of the World Trade Organization. Trade facilitation aims to harmonize basic rules among countries to increase efficiency, transparency, and predictability. The studies conducted by the WTO (World Trade Organization) present results for the economic benefit. This study aims to analyze the relationship between trade facilitation and macroeconomic indicators for 63 countries in the period 2007 - 2019 with panel data analysis. Panel regression and panel causality test confirm the significant linkage between trade facilitation and macroeconomic variables.
