Molecular detection of virulence genes isolated from vagainal infection and fertility in women during the IVF process

Recently, there has been a significant increase in cases of infertility and delayed pregnancy in couples. Therefore, it was necessary to resort to the technique of artificial reproduction to solve such problems. The artificial reproduction technique has achieved success in the occurrence of pregnancy in infertile couples, while there are other attempts that failed to achieve pregnancy despite the availability of all conditions that help in the success of the process (age, quality of sperm, quality of eggs, number and quality of implanted embryos, healthy endometrium). Through this study, we searched for the reasons that prevent or reduce the chances of pregnancy occurring for IVF attempts, one of the factors that we focused on was the detection of the virulence genes of the bacteria that cause bacterial vaginosis and its effect on the outcome of pregnancy for women undergoing IVF. BV occurs because of a disturbance in the normal vaginal flora. This leads to a foul-smelling vaginal discharge, sometimes itching, and an imbalance in the pH level, consequently, the inability to have children naturally. By following up on cases that suffer from bacterial vaginal infections We found that BV virulence genes and bacterial vaginosis play an important role in the outcome of IVF success; it was found that one group achieved pregnancy with IVF treatment and the other group failed. It also has an effect on recurrent miscarriage, premature birth, and fetal death.
