Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the Entrepreneurship Motivation Sources of the resident and migrant entrepreneurs in the tourism sector and in the sectors indirectly related to tourism. The research was conducted face-to-face with 478 resident and migrant entrepreneurs serving in the tourism sector and indirectly related sectors with tourism in the city center of Konya between August and December 2021. As a result of the research, it was concluded that Entrepreneurship Motivation Sources are formed in the sub-dimensions of Opportunity-Oriented Motivation, Independence-Oriented Motivation, Material-Oriented Motivation and Luxury Life-Oriented Motivation and that there are significant differences in the Independence-Oriented Motivation sub-dimension between the entrepreneurship motivations of established and immigrant entrepreneurs. In other sub-dimensions, it was found that there was no significant difference between resident and migrant entrepreneurs. These results of the research revealed that resident and migrant entrepreneurs differed in their motivations for Independence-Oriented Entrepreneurship, which pursued different things than everyone else does, cared about their free and independent stance, and revealed their intention to be the pioneer of unusual initiatives.
