The role of regi̇onal development agenci̇es i̇n Turkey and employment development poli̇cy impact: Zafer Development Agency case

In this study, according to regional imbalance problem, which emerged with Industrial Revolution and with the deepening crisis of 1929, has addressed the historical process. From past to present examining the policy appeared to address this issue, to development agencies is given place that especially recently attained great importance. In the study, taken as an example of Victory Development Agency, including from agency that established in Turkey to Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Manisa and Uşak provinces, the impact on region employment of the development agencies were investigated. In this context, the projects were based on with Competitive SME Financial Support Program, which is one of the types of projects of Victory Development Agency's, and examined the effect on the region employment of these projects. The result of this study, it has been shown that the projects of Competitive SME Financial Support Program (RKMDP) are positively effecting the region employment. With these projects (by concluded projects), 100 persons were employed in region. It is also expected that when all projects completed, this number will reach to 200 persons. By this project , it has been a success over the target has been proven with not only number of employment but also with the number of machinery, equipment and new product. According to these results, it has been shown that the agency achieves the desired result in its projects and it was found to be effective in employment with RKMDP projects. With the projects implemented by development agencies in Turkey, it was determined that region employments, especially in the area and in general, affect the increasing number of employment in the country.
