Abstract (EN)
The native languages spoken by our Arab citizens residing in Turkey are dialects of Arabic. The ancestors of our compatriots speaking these Arabic dialects date back to BC. II. From the 19th century onwards, they migrated from the north of the Arabian Peninsula and settled in Mesopotamia, which is considered the fertile lands of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. The important cities of this region, which Arab Historians call el- Cezire, are Siirt-Muş-Diyarbakır-Mardin-Şanlıurfa and Kilis. The Arab presence that came to Anatolia with the expansion of the Islamic Conquests increased over time and spread to a wide geography, including the Hatay region, including the rural areas of Adana and Mersin provinces. Arabic is the third most spoken language in Turkey. Our citizens of Arab origin living together with various ethnic groups in Anatolia, which has hosted many civilizations for centuries, can also be called Turkish Arabs. Although the Arabic spoken by our Arab citizens has survived thanks to the oral culture, it has been divided into dialects due to various geographical and sociopolitical reasons. Due to today's conditions, they are scattered in various parts of the country. In this study, the language and stylistic features of the Arabic dialects spoken by the Arabs of Turkey and the information obtained from the existing written sources were examined. Voice and written notes were recorded from oral sources by going to the regions where Arab citizens lived. All the obtained data were analyzed comparatively and put into our thesis. Keywords: Arabs of Turkey, Arabic, Dialect , Harran, Hatay, Mardin, Siirt.
