Turkey's new international migration management: Syrians, Iraqi, and Afghan in the persciption of temporarianty and uncertainty of migration policies study of migrants through their experiences, the case of Ankara

In the process of globalization, international migration movements, which have accelerated and diversified, have become a global phenomenon. However, nation-states are the primary actors in determining the direction and form of migration movements, shaping the daily life practices, social statuses, and future plans of migrants in the countries they migrate to. The main aim of this study is to light on whether there is a gap between the legal framework and implementation in the new international migration policies shaped within the legal framework of YUKK in Turkey. It aims to analyze how migration policies, through fieldwork conducted in Ankara, affect the survival strategies of migrants in Turkey, as well as their relationships with institutions, society, and other migrants, and to investigate the reasons for the differences between the legal framework and its implementation.This study, which focuses on the ways in which Syrian, Iraqi, and Afghan migrants experience migration in Ankara and investigates the impact of their migration statuses in this context, employs a qualitative research methodology to examine the implementation of these policies at the micro-level, thus offering a multidisciplinary approach that both analyzes Turkey's new migration management at the macro level and examines the impact of these policies on the daily life practices of migrants at the micro level.
