The causes of death of Türkiye and Syria Seljuk sultans based on their lives

The deaths of the rulers, who were at the head of important states, are important in terms of history. The results of the death of the administrator as a result of the power struggle and the succession of the person who won the fight, and the succession of another person after the death of the administrator in the normal course of life, differ. The Sultanik of Rum State, which was established in the Anatolian geography and had neighborly relations with many states, has entered into various struggles due to its location. The fact that Anatolian lands are on the transit route due to its geopolitical position caused important events such as the Crusades on Jerusalem to affect the Sultanik of Rum State. On the other hand, another state of the Seljuqs, the Syrian Seljuq State, which was established in the Syrian region, gave various struggles to both exist in the region and to ensure the fluctuation of the Islamic sanjak in the region with non-Muslim states and nations that pose a threat to the region. The results of the struggles and events in terms of both states also affected the sultans who were at the head of the state. Therefore, it is important to know what caused the death of the state administrators in order to better understand the events that took place after the deaths of the Sultans of Sultanik of Rum, which made important contributions to the Turkification and Islamization of Anatolia, and the Syrian Seljuq State, which kept the Turkish domination in the Syrian region, in terms of interpreting and making sense of the events. In this respect, in our study, the causes of death of the sultans of Sultanik of Rum and Syrian Seljuq based on their life stories were examined and information about the period was sought.
