Abstract (EN)

Energy has always been a crucial need in human life since the ancient times. The fact that facing the depletion risk of fossil fuels used for ages in order to produce energy and the environmental problems caused by consumption of them leads people a replacement with renewable energy sources today. The importance of support policies offered by countries is increasing day by day due to the requirement of latest technological facilities and expensive installation costs. In this context, there are various tax incentive mechanisms provided by governments to support renewable energy. The tax incentives, used for increasing the usage of renewable energy and reducing the high installation cost, has very vital position all among them. Most of the leading countries support renewable energy industries with applying different tax incentives and policies at various areas such as production and investment. On the other hand, it is observed that the incentives in the area of renewable energy industries are limited in Turkey. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate comprehensive way of tax incentives for renewable energy in Turkey and present the solution suggestions in the existing deficiencies and problems by comparing them with global application.
