Abstract (EN)
With the acceleration of development along with industrialization and the consequent excessive increase in resource use, environmental issues have emerged. Initially appearing at the national level, these environmental problems have subsequently grown to reach global dimensions. The green economy model has emerged to address environmental issues and ensure the continuity of development. The concept of a green economy is an economic model that includes the environment. Within this model, countries are undergoing change and transformation, and new employment opportunities are emerging as a result of these changes. The green economy model contributes to the creation of new, humane green jobs and employment, alongside environmentally friendly economic growth. In this study, the emergence of the green economy model, the implementation of the green economy in the world and Türkiye, waste management studies, and the solid waste management studies of the city of Kütahya are examined.
