Bibliometric analysis of theses in the department of international trade and finance

Globalization and technology have caused developments in many fields. With the change in consumer habits, international trading and finance have also gained importance. In order to keep up with innovations and technology, and to make trading better, postgraduate education should be given more importance. Researches in postgraduate education are made with the help of already existing theses. The reason for this is to see in what topics were researches made, what were the conclusions of the researches, which topics are missing and what can be done to make up for the missing topics and in what way do these researches benefit science. It is necessary to make an examination in order to understand the structure of the theses in the International Trade and Finance Department, which is gaining importance. The purpose of this research is to make a general profile for the postgraduate theses made in Turkey in recent years by examining them with bibliometric analysis. The cluster of this research includes all master's and doctorate theses written in Turkey in the Departments of International Trade and Finance and International Trade and Financing since 2012. All theses used in this research is taken from YÖK's site. In result, 214 theses in the field of International Trade and Finance were found. However, due to the lack of permission to publish 2 theses, 212 theses were included in the research. Maxqda, Zotero and VOSviewer programs were used in the research. The selected theses were collected by document analysis method, examined by bibliometric analysis method, and placed in the findings sections with figures and frequency table.
