Abstract (EN)

The different disciplines that aim at understanding the human being and the society, especially psychology, have determined happiness as the greatest aim of the human. This importance attributed to happiness makes it important to investigate factors that cause happiness. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between university students' levels of happiness, resilience and self-efficacy. The sample of the study consists of a total of 323 university students, 208 female and 105 male, who study at different facultiesof the universcity. In order to collect data in the research; Oxford Happiness Quetionare Short Form (OHQ-SF), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), Brief Resilience Scale (BRS) and Personal Information Form (PIF) were used. Data collected with scales were transferred to computer and analyzed with SPSS 21.00 packet program. Frequency, percentage, mean, correlation analysis techniques were used in the analysis of research data. In addition, a one-way ANOVA was conducted to analyze the level of happiness, resilience and self-efficacy of university students according to the faculty, class level and place of study. Also, t-test was used to analyze whether the students' happiness, resilience and self-efficacy levels differed by gender. As a result of the analyzes made, it was seen that university students had moderately significant relationships between happiness, self-efficacy and resilience levels. When the gender of the students, the class levels and the happiness level according to the place where they live are compared, it is reached that there is no meaningful difference. In this context, it will be useful to investigate the effectiveness of individual studies to increase self-efficacy, resilience and happiness. Furthermore, the resilience and self-efficacy levels of the 4th grade students are higher than the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students. From this point of view, it would be useful for the Psychological Counseling department of the universities to organize psycho-educational programs specifically for students who are just beginning university.
