Abstract (EN)
This research prepared to determine the relationship between anger and anger expression levels, risky behaviors and locus of control, examine how these variables differ according to demographic variables among university students. 415 university students between 18-25 years old living in Istanbul were randomly chosen as sample of the research. Data were collected using Socio-demographic Information Form, Trait Anger and Anger Expression Scales, Risky Behavior Scale and Rotter' Locus of Control Scale. IBM SPSS v.25 package program was used in the evaluation and analysis of the collected data. In the findings of study, it was found that there was a statistically significant and positive relationships between trait anger, anger-out, anger-in and all sub dimensions of risky behaviors. It was determined a significant and positive relationship between locus of control and suicidal tendency which is sub dimension of risky behaviors. It was concluded that the sub-dimensions of the Risky Behaviors Scale showed a significant difference according to the gender variable and the scores of male participants were higher. The scores of Rotter Internal-External Control Focal Scale showed a significant difference according to the gender variable and the score of female participants was higher. It was determined that anger control did not show a significant difference according to gender variable from the subscales of Continuous Anger and Anger Expression Style Scale. Research findings are discussed in the light of the literature.
