Other objectives of the study are to examine whether there is a relationship between the variables of social media addiction and the desire to be liked, and the variables of gender, age, and the frequency of phone use, and to examine whether the gender, age, and frequency of phone usage differ for the variables. Method: The population of the study consists of individuals between the ages of 18-24 studying at Bursa Uludağ University and Istanbul Gelişim University. The sample of the study, which was conducted with the participation of 393 individuals from two universities, consists of 281 females and 112 males.
