Abstract (EN)

In higher education; university libraries are units that provide important services to academic and administrative staff as well as students. The level of development of universities is closely related to the development of their libraries. Evaluating of current situation, problems and weaknesses of libraries through the eyes of users can contribute to the process of self-development. Multiple Correspondence Analysis is an analysis method that examines the relationships between more than two categorical variables and shows the results in two-dimensional space. In this study, it was aimed to examine the satisfaction of the users from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Central Library as well as relationship between satisfaction expressions and personal variables which are likely to be effective by Multiple Correspondence Analysis. In the study, the data obtained from the questionnaire applied to 200 individuals composed of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University academic, administrative staff and students were used. The questionnaire form included 4 personal questions and 10 expressions designed as 5-point likert to determine satisfaction. Multiple Correspondence Analysis was performed to determine the relationship between satisfaction expressions and personal variables. As a result of the analysis, while the inertia values of the dimensions varied between 28% and 43%, the total inertia values changed between 71% and 75%. As a result; it can be stated that Multiple Correspondence Analysis can be used to examine the relationships between satisfaction expressions and some personal variables and to present them in an easily interpreted way in two dimensions.
