The representation of LGBTT in local press: The example of Gaziantep (2000-2014)

Basic purpose of my thesis is trying to determine how LGBTT individuals were represent in the local press. For these i used the method of critical discourse analysis. For this theses i used the local press of Gaziantep. The newspapers are: Sabah, Hâkimiyet, Ekspress, Gaziantep 27, Olay and Telgraf. The basic criteria was investigating articals which were published between 2009-2014 and must be taken the subject directly or undirectly. In this time, all published news were investigated in this thesis which answered many questions: What is the media and its fonction? How the discourse arose? How does the hate discourse were produced in the media? How were the minority groups and LGBTT individuals were represented in the local press? After collecting the the results throught scanning the local press, it was analysed by scrutining detailed critical discourse analysis.
