Abstract (EN)

In this study [1-(4-{[(3-hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)methylidene]amino}phenyl)ethan-1-one (B1 ligand) were synthesized from the reaction of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde with 4-amino-acetophenone according to the literature. After that 1-(N-{4-[(1)-1-({6-[(Z)-[1-(4-{[(3-hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl) methylidene]amino}phenyl)ethylidene]amino]pyridin?2- yl}imino)ethyl]phenyl}carboximidoyl)naphthalen-2-ol (L1 ligand) were synthesized from the reaction of 2,6-diamino pyridine with B1 ligand, [1-(N-{4-[(1)-1-({2-[2-(2-{[1-(4-{[(3-hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)methylidene]amino}phenyl)ethylidene]amino}phenoxy)ethoxy]phenyl}imino)ethyl] phenyl}carboximidoyl)naphthalen-2-ol (L2 ligand) were synthesized from the reaction of 2-(2-(2-aminophenoxy)ethoxy)benzenamine with B1 ligand. Using these Schiff base ligands Cu(II), Fe(II) and Pd(II) complexes were prepared. B1 ligand polymerized using NaOCl with oxidation polymerization and synthesized L3 ligand. Using this L3 ligand Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Pd(II) complexes were prepared. The structure of the ligands and their complexes were determined by 1H NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis, DTA-TGA and magnetic susceptibility spectral data. Furthermore DNA binding properties of the all ligands and their metal complexes have been investigated. And also optical properties of the oligomers have been investigated. As a result many of these compunds showed DNA-binding activity and it was incerasing with H2O2. According to optical properties compounds are suitable for making optical and electrical devices.
