Abstract (EN)

This study aims to compare the illuminate, noise, and electromagnetic field exposure caused by the physical and operational conditions of neonatal intensive care units (NICU) and analyze how these factors on the neurodevelopment of prematurity According to the Occupational Hygiene and Safety regulations, the legal conformity of NICU was evaluated by these standards. It was ensured that the consent form was read by 68 volunteer preterm mothers actively receiving a treatment a university hospital authorized by the Ministry of Health. The Mann-Whitney U test, p value, crosstabs and logistic regression analysis were conducted to evaluate these questionnaires. In this study, the environmental factors of the NICU were carried out by an accredited laboratory. Serving as a calibration and test laboratory authorized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and TÜRKAK (TR MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS TURKISH ACCREDITATION AGENCY). Data collected according to regulations and standards. It was observed that, the content of the standards was examined, they were prepared for adult intensive care and healthcare professional. It contains a very high risk for premature infants' population and a low risk for health professionals. The standards should improve, the neonatal intensive care is been spesific and privatizied.
