Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine whether there is a significant relationship between psychological resilience in adults and parental attitudes, and if so, in what direction. In the research conducted in the relational screening model, adult individuals constitute the population of the research. Appropriate sampling method was used in the determination of the sample and 296 adult individuals in the 18-61 age group were determined as the sample. The data of the study were obtained by using the Personal Information Form, the Abbreviated Perceived Parental Attitudes Scale and the Adult Resilience Scale. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS statistical analysis package program. At the end of the study, it was determined that psychological resilience was positively correlated with perceived emotional warmth and negatively correlated with perceived rejecting attitude. In addition, it was determined that the psychological resilience levels of the participants differed significantly according to some socio-demographic characteristics (gender, marital status, education, income, having parents living together, being brought up by their parents, having a job and having had a psychiatric disorder before). Similarly, it was determined that the perceived parental attitude levels of the participants differed significantly according to some socio-demographic characteristics (education, income, having parents living together, being brought up by their parents, and having had a previous psychiatric disorder before).
