Abstract (EN)
This study aims to identify the effects of mobbing on employees' attitudes and behaviors through a proposed model. In this model the relationships between mobbing, job stress, burnout, job satisfaction and turnover intention are examined. The data is obtained through survey method. The research is carried out by conducting a survey with 457 employees in leading in Turkey's First Top 500 Industrial Enterprises announced regularly and annually by İstanbul Chamber of Industry. In order to accomplish the study's purpose, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modelling were used. Obtained analysis results appear to support the research hypotheses. Findings reveal that mobbing had significant effects on job stress, burnout, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Besides the relationships between job stress, burnout, job satisfaction, and turnover intention, the direct effects of burnout on job satisfaction and turnover intention were also brought out. Other than these results the partial mediation effects of job stress, burnout and both variables' sequential effects on the relationships between mobbing, job satisfaction, and turnover intention were identified. Overall results and model fit indices show that the research model was supported. Implications of the research results for future research were also discussed.
