Abstract (EN)

End-of-life care is the fulfillment of physical and psychosocial and spiritual needs, with pain and other problems, early diagnosis and a good assessment, in patients and families approaching death when treatment is no longer possible. The number of patients who need end-of-life care in intensive care units increases. As there are behaviors that support nurses working in intensive care in the end-of-life care process, nurses face some obstacles in this process. This study is planned as descriptive research in order to learn the barriers and supportive behaviors perceived by intensive care nurses while providing end-of-life care. This research will be carried out with 278 intensive care nurses working in intensive care within Ankara City Hospital. The data of the research will be obtained by using 'Introductory Characteristics Form' and ' Providing End-of-Life Care to Patients: Critical Care Nurses Perceived Obstacles and Supportive BehaviourScale".
