Democrat Party goverment i̇n Yozgat press: 1950-1960

After President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk died on 10th November, 1938, T.G.NA elected İsmet İnönü, one of the former prime ministers, as the President on 11th November, 1938. When İsmet İnönü became the President, the period called as "National Chief" started. In this period, with the pressure of international conditions, multiparty period started in 1946. After staying in the opposition party between 1946 and 1950, the new founded Democrat Party came to power with 14th May 1950 elections. An important period started with this party's becoming power in 1950. This study includes the evaluation of internal and foreign political applications of Democratic Party between 1950 and 1960 by Yozgat press. In this study, the policies of Democrat Party on political, social, economic and military areas in this period were presented. Moreover, how Democrat Party was perceived in Yozgat was evaluated by reading Yozgat local press. The findings from the most important print media of the province were investigated. The data obtained from Yozgat local press was chronologically analysed in this study. In the study, the point of view of Yozgat press about Democrat Party was presented.
