Mothers of mentally and physically handicapped children anxiety and depression leves of investigation investigation of family functioning

These mothers of children with mental and physical disabilities in research aimed to investigate the determination of anxiety and depression levels of family dysfunction. Research within the scope of Istanbul provincial Sultangazi district Lalegül Special Education and Rehabilitation Center, Wendy Special Education and Rehabilitation Center and Gülenay have received reports from RAM from the Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre for disabled children, mothers and soldiers Primary studying at school, zihisel and physically healthy students have been working with the mothers. 20 Down syndrome in the study, 20 Mental Retardation, 20 with autism, cerebral palsy and 20 participated in the study, 20 healthy student's mother. Socio-demographic data were obtained by asking mothers with sociodemographic data collection form. All children Beck Depression Inventory, Beck Anxiety Inventory and Family underwent evaluation scales. As a result of the children of individuals with disabilities with individuals beck beck depression found no significant differences between the scores of anxiety. Children, individuals with disabilities subscale scores between individuals in the family inventory evaluation significant differences were found. Significant findings in the study, individuals with children obstacle degree of individual, family assessment between the scores of the subscales of inventory and their children's disability rating of individuals beck and individuals beck depression is seen in scores of anxiety. Accordingly, the degree barrier of 90% of individuals with children were found to have higher levels of depression than other individuals in general. Results were discussed in the light of issues and suggestions were made.
