Abstract (EN)

The Judicial Records of Ottoman Empire one of the most importmant written sources which are give us very important information about social, cultural and economical life of Ottoman Empire. These documents which are written at Ottoman courts contain important information about the period and place to which they belong. This study contains records of Shariah between H.1239-1249/M.1824-1834 and Shariah held in Gaziantep which have great importance in terms of Turkish history and culture. Total 456-page book, this registry contains 288 administrative and 118 legal documents, a total of 406 pieces. Using one-sides of the notebook, administrative documents such as petitions, firmans and buyruldus were recorded on the first side; legal documents such as administrative heritage, child support, guardianship determination, divorce, loans were recorded on the other side of the notebook. In the light of this book, Gaziantep's administrative, social, cultural, economic status in that period were investigated. Transcriptions of the documents were classified, and criticism has been subject to evaluation. Transcription of the contents of documents, diplomatic properties, AH and Gregorian dates with brief summaries of the document are presented in a separate table for each document to make it understandable to the readers.
