After receiving the Belgrade, the direction of the conquest changed and the regions of Northern Dalmatia, Northwestern Croatia and Slovenia, where Catholicism prevailed, were excluded from the Ottoman rule. Before Hungary fell into the hands of the Habsburg administrations and protected their presence in these regions until World War II. The Ottoman influence in most of Central Europe ended with the Treaty of Karlofça in 1699. From the 18th century onwards, the peoples in the Balkans started to revolt in order to weaken the Ottoman Empire by using their own interests. In the Balkans, where there was no peace as a result of the revolts, with the emergence of the Balkan wars, the Ottoman domination in the Balkans ended .İmmigration movements took place after the wars.
