Abstract (EN)

The reality, which has been the subject of discussions many times in the history of Turkish literature, it has felt like needing to talk again when it comes to the 1950s. In the years when the idealized reality in the development of literary texts was broken and retreated to the plane of human/individual reality, where Sait Faik determined the direction, the 1950's generation, which was mentioned as a generation, tried to carry the reality into multidimensional narration and writing by widening Sait Faik's path. Being aware of the fact that authorship is a work of consciousness, this generation has criticized writers who use literature to make propaganda, that they only show the reality of the outside world objectively, with stereotypical reality. By breaking down a holistic reality in all narrative elements, they worked on the society-individual relationship in line with a new understanding of reality. Social, ideological and existential factors have been influential in establishing the dynamics of them stories. In this context, generation writers who developed an attitude against the "photographic reality" adopted by their predecessors, revealed the inner reality of the individual by trying new forms of the narration. By feeding their narratives with meta-reality and existential discourses, they increased the depth and added dimension to reality. Practices such as imaginary language, associative style, inverted sentences, and breaking a complete sentence they use, create innovation and diversity in Turkish literature. The imaginativeness in their fictions laid the groundwork for new themes, and the story was moved away from the classical structure by placing the objective / external reality in time and space towards the reality of the individual. With the idea of understanding and explaining the modern, all the monotonous formations from the tradition were tried to be overcome. The new practices they made on language and narration allowed each of them to create their own style. The storytellers of the 1950s generation, who equate the style with life and the life with human, gave rise to the new concepts by creating the opportunity to expand these boundaries with the view that the accepted understanding of reality remained within narrow limits. The generation that caused innovation in understanding the reality of the individual has made significant contributions to the change in mentality. The innovations they brought in terms of narration and fiction enabled the development of the Turkish story in a modern way.
