After 1990, the effects of the Nogorno-Karabakh conflict in Armenia-Azerbaijan relations

In this thesis study, `?Nogorno-Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijan-Armenia relations have been briefly examined within the history. After that the occurence of the problem of the problem start of the war and the period until signing the agreement were examined. Nogorno-Karabakh is a landlocked region in the South Caucasus which legally belongs to Azerbaijan. However, since Azerbaijan has been engaged by Armenia, and Nogorno-Karabakh is under the control of Armenia. In 1994, as a result of the ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the district has remained under the control of Armenia; for this reason, Azerbaijan refused to accept the situation. In conclusion, a brief history of the Karabakh conflict and the struggles of international organizations and politicians have been examined.Keywords: Azerbaijan, Nogorno-Karabakh, Armenia, Ceasefire, Disagreement.
