The propaganda elements of media that have had an effect upon the political agenda of Turkey after the year1990

Press sector has entered into a structural transformation together with the establishment of the new capital order?s hegemony on the sector. This structural transformation has also caused a shift in the tasks and responsibilities that are attributed to press. In this context, in the study, dynamics of media, its relations with political actors and how the political process is shaped within this framework are emphasized. Definition of political shaping and the mentioned network of the relations are described with several examples from past to this day. In the study, monopolization in the press after 1990 and its impacts upon the objectivity of press are discussed in terms of relations in politics, and the connection between press and politics is evaluated by examining the developments in press and politics in Turkey after 1990.
