26/1 Numbered and 1634-1666 dated France Atik Judgement Book

The sources of archive have a great deal of importance in search of history. There are many kinds of varities for these sources in accordance with the state structure. The sources of archive are also important for explaining Ottoman Empire.Amedi book dependant on Council of Ottoman Empire includes every kind of treaty and pact,negotiation records,protocols and correspodances with foreign ambassadors and merchants. One of the parts held in this branch was named as Düvel-i Ecnebiyye books. The records about the pacts related to other states end judgements, consular certificate were kept in these book records. In this study, the documents including politicial, economical topics and security matters between France and Ottoman Empire as well as the documents concerning the solutions of the problems were investigated in 26/1 numbered and 1634-1666 dated France Atik Judgement Book. Besides, there are some other documents in judgements stating those issues between 1634-1666 "commercial activities between those two countries, and French merchants' inclusion to Ottoman market by both land and sea, and also French ships' having more privileges than the other states' ships for commercial activities.
