Abstract (EN)

The main goal of this study is to assess the effect of judo and education with games upon the physical development of boys between 8-10 years of age. The sample of the study was constituted by total of 44 volunteers with 22 volunteers who did not participate any physical activity before as the experimental and 22 volunteers as the control group.The experimental group was subjected to 12 week two days a week and 60 minute per session judo and education with games training program modified according to relevant age group. The control group did not take part in any physical activity.The variables were analyzed by the use of SPSS statistical software .The standard deviations of the results were compared by t-test. Both the pre- and post test-results were evaluated according to the statistical significance of p<0.05.There was a significant increase between the pre- and post- test values of body weight, height, vertical jump, horizontal jump from the stand still position, paw strength ( right and left hands ) , sit up and flexibility values and a statistically significant decrease in flamingo balance and the reaction time (against the light and the sound )(p<0.05)There were no statistical significant changes observed in the parameters of the control group (p>0.05)
