Abstract (EN)

Abdurrahman Cahit Zarifoğlu was an influential poet who lived between 1940-1987 and came to the fore with his literary aspects. Growing up in Sufi culture, Zarifoğlu found himself in search of a meaning during his university years. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, Sezai Karakoç, Fethi Gemuhluoğlu are among the names that have been the source of this quest. This search, which emerged from an existential crisis, continued until he joined his Sheikh Abdurrahim Reyhan Efendi. After he turned to the way of Sufism, the works he wrote with Islamic consciousness became more evident and his guidance to the young people around him began to become intense. Zarifoğlu, who built his life to live as a dervish, gave countless lessons to those who sometimes understand the expressions and sometimes the state. This study was conducted to understand the effect of Sufism on Zarifoğlu, based on his life and works. Keywords: Mysticism, Cahit Zarifoğlu, contemplation, search for truth, tranquility
