A research on the performance assessment of food businesses in Adana province

Adana province, located in an agricultural region, was selected forthis purpose. It was also aimed to analyze whether agri-food businesses in Adanaprovince have internationally recognized standards in addition to BusinessPerformance Criteria.It was concluded that all companies surveyed (94.1%), except one publiccompany, were applying Business Performance Criteria Approach and placinggreater importance on quality dimension in their performance measurement. 76.5 %of the companies have ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System Certificate,which was recognized by Turkish Standards Institute.Keywords: Performance, Business Performance Criteria, Business Performance,Standards.II
