Abstract (EN)
Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the attitudes of family physicians working in our country towards social media use, personal and professional development and social media usage and develop "AK-TEK Social Media Usage Scale in Health." Methods: When the scale is prepared, it has been determined that there is not a previously developed scale in this field country by searching the related literature firstly. The questionnaires prepared by the researchers are loaded on the online questionnaire database in order to make the validity and reliability studies and to finalize the scale. The researchers were attended by family physicians, family medicine specialists, family medicine assistants and family medicine specialists, who were contacted by the e-mails or social media platforms that were opened in the selected congresses and at the stands. Results: According to the findings obtained during the development of the scale, a five factor structure was obtained consistent with the underlying theoretical structure when the scale was developed. The basic variance explained by these factors is 60.38 %. Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient of our scale was .78. The stability coefficient was found as p <0,01 for each sub-factor as a result of the test retest analysis, The test retest value was found to be 0.74 when the whole scale was evaluated. This means that the scale will be stable if it is applied within certain time intervals. Conclusion: The group consisting of the first factor making up the scale was given the name "occupational use." The second factor of the scale was the name "social media addiction." The group consisting of the third factor that constituted the scale was given the "individual use." The group, which is composed of the fourth factor that makes up the scale, is given the name "social media myths." The group consisting of the fifth factor that made up the scale was given the name "telemedicine." Item total correlations and internal consistency coefficients for the scale were found to be sufficient.
