Abstract (EN)

Introduction and Aim: It was aimed to determine the satisfaction level of patients who applied to Aydın Adnan Menderes University Education Family Health Center and the factors affecting satisfaction. It is expected that the data obtained from this point will provide useful information on the provision of quality health care. Materials and Methods: It was aimed to reach all patients aged 18 and over who applied to the Education Family Health Center during the study period. It was predicted to reach at least 537 people with 80% prevalence, 0.05 alpha and 0.03 sampling error, by taking the expected 2500 patient interviews as a population within six months. 37 of 579 patients who applied to the Education Family Health Center between March 1, 2022 and August 31, 2022, when the study was conducted, accep-ted to participate in the study and filled out the questionnaire, were not included in the study because the data form was missing. The study was completed with 542 patients who met the inclusion criteria. Informed consent was signed by those who accepted to participate in the study, and then the part of the questionnaire containing sociodemographic information was filled. Afterwards, patients were asked to fill in the EUROPEP-Tr satisfaction scale, which evaluates the health services they receive. The obtained data were entered into the SPSS 18.0 database and statistical evalua-tions were made. In addition to descriptive statistics, Student's t test and ANOVA test were used for numerical variables, Chi-square for categorical variables and Pear-son Correlation Analysis for determining the relationship between numerical variab-les. Statistical significance level was accepted as p<0.05 Results: The median age of the patients was 42 years (age 18-84). 55.5% of the pati-ents were women. Most of the patients (89.1%) lived in the urban area and 52.2% had more than 12 years of education. The most common reason for patients to apply to our family medicine was new-onset health problems. The EUROPEP-Tr total score was 4.4 ± 0.7, and the overall satisfaction percentage was 79.3%. The areas with the highest satisfaction are "examining you", "doing the job perfectly" and "listening to you" (94.5%, 94.3% and 94.1%, respectively), the least satisfied areas are "reaching your doctor by phone" ( 52.3%, it was seen that "you can reach the health center by phone" (59.2%). It was observed that those who did not work in an active income-generating occupation (p<0.001), those with diabetes (p=0.023) and those with thy-roid disease (p<0.001) were significantly more satisfied. Conclusion : It is important for health centers providing primary care family medi-cine services to know the patient satisfaction levels in order to increase the quality of service. Regular evaluations are an opportunity for each health center to receive fe-edback on the satisfaction of its patients in terms of identifying and improving areas of low patient satisfaction.
