Abstract (EN)

This study research was conducted to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on employee conflict resolution within commercial banking. Conflict is a part of life. Conflict is also a process with devastating and constructive consequences. Emotions are important in conflict resolution. Conflict and emotion are the most basic elements of a task done. Emotional intelligence helps manage conflict in a constructive manner by reducing destructive effectiveness to a minimum level in the conflict process. The research was conducted among 274employees of a private commercial bank. According to the results of the research, there was a significant positive correlation between the total conflict resolution methods and the emotional intelligence scale total and subscale score averages. Similarly, there is a significant relationship between the integration sub-dimension and the awareness of emotions, self-motivation, empathy and total scale scores. There is also a significant relationship between avoidance dimension and awareness of emotions. In the research it seems that there is no effect of emotional intelligence on conflict resolution.
