An assessment of some agricultural traits of some barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) varieties and mixtures

This study was carried out in a randomized block design with 4 replications in order to examine the agricultural characteristics of some feed barley varieties and mixtures in Şanlıurfa and Adıyaman locations in the 2019-2020 growing season. In the study, 18 barley varieties with summer and alternative character and mixture combinations (40) formed from these varieties were used. In the study, grain yield, some yield components and quality characteristics, marketing prices and profitability were examined. Önder lean variety, Şahin 91-Önder binary mixture and Şahin 91-Önder-Ayhan triple mixture in terms of quality; Altınkat, Egebeyi and Kendal lean varieties, Altıkat-Akhisar 98, Kendal-Egebeyi and Sancak-Egebeyi binary mixtures and Kendal-Dara-Egebeyi, Kendal-Sancak-Egebeyi and Dara-Sancak-Egebeyi triple mixtures in terms of yield; Karahan black barley variety, Dara-Egebeyi binary mixture and Kendal-Dara-Sancak triple mix came to the fore in terms of profitability.
