Abstract (EN)
Education; is the sole right of every individual, regardless of its status, interest, need and character. Delivering the right of the individual in the most accurate way is to act according to his / her individual differences taking into account all the features and to present the program suitable for him / her. Specially talented students can be counted among the groups whose right to education should be delivered to them. The quality of the program offered to them is important for its suitability to the individual in order to realize the differences of special talented students with a significant capacity and ability compared to their normal peers and truly understand them. The program's appeal to the individual will gain importance as much as it supports his potential. The aim of this study is to evaluate the programs applied in Science and Art Centers where special talented students are studying according to the opinions of the students and the teachers in the institution. This research is a qualitative study designed with case study. Semi-structured interview forms prepared by the researcher were used to collect the data. The study group consisted of 56 specially talented students at Siirt Science and Art Center during the spring semester of 2017-2018 academic year and 9 teachers from different branches. In this study, direct quotations were made by using the codes Ö1, Ö2, Ö3… for each student, and E1, E2, E3… for each teacher. In the study, content analysis, one of the qualitative research approaches, was used for the analysis of the data. The reliability formula proposed by Miles and Huberman was used to confirm the reliability of the study. As a result of the research, it was seen that the majority of the students stated that the education in BILSEM contributed to their academic and personal development and that only a small number of students stated that it could not contribute to the level they wanted. Since almost all of the students had the opportunity to develop themselves in terms of their abilities, they advocated that the institution was very different from the school. While some of the students stated that they were absent from BILSEM due to their exams and fatigue, it was found that many students attending classes stated that they had found peace in BİLSEM. Although a significant part of the students stated that their expectations were met, it was concluded that all students should be encouraged to be better acquainted with the institution. When the opinions of the participant teachers were evaluated, it was determined that they expressed the deficiencies and what should be done in order to create a better education and environment in addition to their positive opinions. It was concluded that the education provided by the teachers supported the cognitive and personal development of the students. It is noteworthy that the training were done in accordance with the interests and abilities of the students, and in the preparation of the activities their compliance with the student has were taken into consideration, but there were some difficulties encountered such as the enrichment and long time allocation to the students.
