Evaluation of using video support for violin education of individuals who have amateur violin education in Bursa

This research was carried out to investigate the effects of developing technology on music education of amateur violin. In the research, violin lessons were applied to the students of the control group who took the violin lesson in the research besides the violin lessons to the students of the experimental group, lesson videos prepared with different and multiple camera angles prepared by the researcher, narrative, subtitled and special effects showing by following the played notes were prepared. While preparing these videos, a place without video image and noise pollution is set, equipments with high sound and image quality are used and they have been edited and completed in special video editing programs. : EVALUATION OF USING VIDEO SUPPORT FOR In this study, randomized design with posttest control group was used.The research was carried out with 20 people, 10 people would form an experiment and 10 people would form a control group. As a means of data collection, a graded scoring key was used by the researcher to evaluate students' melody performances of Mozart's Morgen Kommt der Weichnactsmann. The student performances recorded in the video were evaluated by three experts through prepared the graded scoring key. In the analysis of the information, it was decided to use the Mann-Whitney U test, which is a non-parametric test, considering the number of participants in the experimental and control groups As a result of the research the experimental group consisting of amateur violin students who received video support was found to be more successful than the control group. it is considered that the research of video courses in amateur violin education will be further investigated and developed in the coming years. For the spread of violin music art education it is suggested to search online training method in places which are lack of teacher. Keywords: music education, amateur violin education, video education
