Abstract (EN)
In this study, the interaction between Çamlık Tunnel and a water reservoir in the vicinity has been studied. Çamlık Tunnel Project is contracted by General Directorate of Highways of Turkish Government to ICA İÇTAŞ - ASTALDI Joint Venture and designed by EMAY International Engineering and Consultancy Inc. Primarily, Çamlık Tunnel and its area have been researched geologically and hydrogeologically as a whole. Engineering geology studies have been carried out for the geological units determined according to the results of drillings and laboratory tests conducted in the subjected section of this study. The in-situ rock strength parameters of these units have been calculated. Excavation and support type sections have been established for the tunnel to be constructed according to New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM) principles. Then stability analyzes have been carried out for the relevant section by using the PLAXIS 2D program which is running with the finite element method. The results of the geomechanical measurements performed during the tunnel construction have been shown and the obtained data have been evaluated.
