The women artists in the modern Turkish painting art and figurative trends

Abstract (EN)

This study is an analysies about what type of construction the contemporary Turkish art women's figurative education were shaped in. During the time when the westernization became a community program, the women artists seemed to have a challenging out look in the figures and portraits. The challenging out look continued in the contemporary Turkish painting women's art works. Starting with the Ottaman Empire structure, this study compromises the economical and social problems, the reasons to push the government for a change and how the taken steps affected the woman. In the first part of the study, the steps which were taken for education and effect of Muslim religion on the figurative painting of fine arts are being discussed It expresses the shape the Turkish painting were made in after the openings of art schools. It is seen that the figurative studies of art institutions in Turkey led up as a western academic study module's reflection.reforms and art educations during the westernaletiontimes, were not able to cover all and the societies were limited in certain aspects. Figurative art works were an important improvement during those times. In the second part, the artists groups which were formed during the Repuclic period were inspected, Turkish paintings were changing the expression of the language and creating a new language in this duration. It imports the effects of women starting to have an equal education with men, by the government policy, finding chance to study abroad and bringing the art movement of the western into Turkish painting arts. In the third part of the study, the family structure of selected art women were examined. The examination showed that only few families' daugthers continued the western education. The model of Modern Turkish women, which were made during the education period, figurative reflections were expressed. In the last part of the study, the changes about government and the women phenomenon is due to the social conditions, the mentioned womenartists were educated in a different education base which took place way later in the academic life than men. The women painters who witnessed the westernization period, taught in various institution. It was seen that, women's perspective started to change by taking part in international platforms broadcasts and exhibitions. The impression of women artists who were selected by modern Turkish painting art, figurative explanations were reported. Even if the women artists' perspective, until the Republic period, on figures was all about attitude, it seemed to have an emotional effect on the audience. As for modern Turkish painting arts, the women artist's figurative slopeness of work of art became clear with the genuie interpretation beyond the stylistic reseach.
