This study aimed to investigate the effects of depression symptoms on sleep quality, quality of life and night eating syndrome in working and non-working women, and to investigate differences according to various demographic variables. To determine the symptoms of depression,Beck Depression Scale was used on participants and Richards-Campbell Sleep Scale, World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale Short Form (WHQOQLBREF) and Night Eating Questionnaire were used to determine sleep quality and quality of life. As a result of our study, it was found that the Beck Depression Scale scores had a significant moderate negative correlation with all subscale scores of the quality of life scale in working and non-working women.However, the correlation of the employees was found to be higher. The employees quality of life scale physical health dimension, psychological health and sleep quality scores were significantly higher. It was found that those who did not work were significantly more likely to eat at night and have higher scores. A significant positive correlation was found between the Beck Depression Scale scores and Night Eating Questionnaire scores in working and non-working women. There was also a significantly weak negative correlation between working and non-working women's night-time eating scores and sleep quality scores, but cholesterol was higher in non-working women. Besides, psychological health and sleep quality scores of working women were found to be significantly higher, while nighttime eating and depression scores were significantly higher in women who did not work.
