Abstract (EN)
The phenomenon of women who has a very important place in the formation of a modern society; is an important social problem that needs to be explored, discussed and solved. According to the variables of economic, cultural and social structure of each country, the problems experienced by women are varied and strengthened. Because of the individual and cultural differences of the society, the perception of gender changes. Gender is the congenital biological and physiological characteristics of human. Social gender is expressed as norms that vary according to the culture and values of the society that the individual has lived. In this thesis, gender and social gender concepts and differences between these concepts, formation of social gender roles and how they are perceived are investigated. The gender roles gained in the socialization process are determined by attitudes and behaviors to men and women in the social life and therefore it is expected to be treated in accordance with the traditional gender roles attributed to men and women in the work life and this leads to gender discrimination. The most important reflection of gender-based discrimination in working life is the separation of job descriptions from women's work and men's work. The problems experienced by women in terms of occupational orientation, recruitment, promotion, remuneration and social rights that have started with education increase the importance of gender discrimination. In this study, the issues of discrimination based on gender in work life are examined theoretically and analyzed with the questionnaire.
