Abstract (EN)
It is aimed to determine the contamination status of the feeds used by our cattle raising farmers in the region we are researching (Center and Kızılırmak districts) and to evaluate the toxin status of the feeds. For this reason, 32 feed samples were collected randomly from the feed used by the farmers of our region on the same dates and without paying attention to the feed bags. Analysis of the contamination status of the collected feed samples with 11 different mycotoxins (AFB1, AFB2, AFG1, AFG2, FB1, FB2, OTA, ZEA, DON, T-2, HT-2) with the help of LC/MS-MS (Simadzu LCMS-8040) device. As a result of the analysis we have made, it has been determined that our feed samples are contaminated with more than one mycotoxin type. We observed high levels of mycotoxin contamination in most of our animal feeds. We analyzed our feed samples in detail in development, rearing, fattening, complementary and compound feed groups. The data we obtained revealed that the feeds used in our region were contaminated by fungi. It was observed that 2 feed samples, which we compared with the toxin upper limits specified in the notification of undesirable substances in feed, exceeded the upper limit of ZEA produced by Aspergillius and 1 feed sample by Fusarium species. In addition, although our feed samples are highly contaminated with HT-2 and T-2 mycotoxins, since the upper limit for these mycotoxins is not determined in the communiqué, the problems that these feeds will cause in the future in animals and in the health of animals benefiting from animal products cannot be fully predicted.
