Reliabilty of eyewitness testimony in Criminal Procedure Law

In the criminal procedure, the judge or the jury tries to re-create the events that are the subject of the procedure in their minds based on evidences. Among these evidences, eye-witness testimony has always been the most used one. Eye-witness testimony is based on the human memory and because of that the testimony is susceptible to lies and mistakes. The difference of mistake from lie is it's unconsciousness.
