Özet (EN)

This study aimed to examine the effect of the P4C Education Program on the social problem solving skills of 48-72 month-old children. In the study conducted in the quantitative model, a pre-test-post-test matched control group design from quasi-experimental designs was used. A total of 35 children aged 48-72 months who were studying in two kindergartens affiliated with the Bolu MEB in the fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year constituted the study group of the study. The P4C Education Program, which lasted 8 weeks and included 16 activity plans, was applied to the experimental group. Data in the study were collected through the "Wally Social Problem Solving Test" and the "General Information Form". In the data analysis, the "Unrelated Samples t Test" was used to analyze the differences between the groups by ensuring normality conditions and the "Related Samples t Test" was used for the analysis of the differences within the groups. As a result of the data analysis, it was seen that there was no difference between the pre-tests of the experimental and control groups, and there was a significant difference between the pre-tests and post-tests of both groups. It was determined that there was a significant difference between the post-test data of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between the retention test applied to the experimental group and the post-test, and that the P4C Education Pragram was effective in the social problem-solving skills of preschool children in the light of the research data.
