Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to reveal the effectiveness of childhood traumatic experiences between psychological resilience and marital satisfaction in married individuals. At the same time, in this study, the effects of childhood traumatic experiences of abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, sensory) and neglect on psychological resilience and marital satisfaction symptoms were examined. The research is of relational type and the survey method was used to collect the data. In the collection of research data, a total of 368 married individuals, 307 women and 61 men, were included in the study. While the 'Socio-Demographic Information Form' developed by the researcher was used to reveal the personal characteristics of the participants, the 'Childhood Traumas Scale (CTS)' was used to detect childhood traumatic thoughts, the 'Psychological Resilience Scale (YRPSS)' was also used to determine psychological resilience and marital satisfaction levels. The 'Marriage Satisfaction Scale' was used. A computer-based statistical program (SPSS) was used in the analysis and analysis of the collected data. While skewness and kurtosis values were checked to determine whether the measurement tools used had a normal distribution, internal consistency ratios were checked to determine the reliability levels of the scales. Correlation and regression analysis findings were used to determine the relationship, strength and direction of the research variables with each other. In the analyzes between groups, t-test and Anova analyzes were used based on the number of variables. According to the findings of the study, a moderately strong negative relationship was found between marital satisfaction and childhood traumas, while a low-strong linear relationship was found between marital satisfaction and psychological resilience. Finally, a low-powered negative relationship was found between childhood traumas and psychological resilience. As a result, it was found that as marital satisfaction increases, childhood traumatic thoughts decrease in married individuals who participated in the research, psychological resilience increases as marital satisfaction increases, and finally, psychological resilience decreases as childhood traumatic thoughts increase. It is recommended to carry out awareness studies for the purpose of raising social awareness about the concepts of childhood traumas, psychological resilience and marital satisfaction.
