Abstract (EN)
The study was assigned to investigate the role of prolidase and oxidative stress in women with primary and secondary infertility. For this reason, a total of 60 women with infertility were enrolled in the study over two groups (primary and secondery) and controlled with 30 healthy fertile women. The serum of women was used for testing prolidase, vitamins (D, C, A, and E), total antioxidant capacity (TAC), glutathione (GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA), selenium, and ceruloplasmin. The results have shown that MDA and prolidase were elevated significantly in infertile women of both groups compared to control. Additionally, the study was also shown a reduction in the levels of vitamin D, vitamin C, vitamin A, selenium, and ceruloplasmin in the serum of women with primary and secondary infertility compared to fertile women. İn conclusion, the infertile women oxidative stress has shown a progressive oxidative stress and high prolidase level, which all may contribute to the pathophysiology of infertility in women. 2022, 48 pages Keywords: Prolidase, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin A, Oxidative stress, Women infertility
