Problems encountered by classroom teachers in primary literature teaching during the COVID-19 epidemic

The main purpose of this thesis is to reveal the problems encountered by classroom teachers during Covic-19 pandemics about primary literacy education. This very research is based on phenomenologic patterns. The representative sample of this research contains the classroom teachers who are on duty as public officials in Şanlıurfa, Eyyübiye during 2020-2021 school year. Data acquisition method is this research is the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. Data collected from the interview form is exposed to content analysis. It is deducted from the research that the teachers have experienced several discrepancies in literacy education due to technological hardware deficiency. The teachers signify that the students have undergone some hardships in the process of primary literacy education via sound-based sentence method in terms of constructing meaningful syllables, words and sentences; especially in the level of constructing words from syllables. Moreover, a result has been reached that in order to maintain attendance of students, hardware inadequacy should be prevented.
