Abstract (EN)
Today, one of the most important and controversial issue in Turkey is the Kurdish question. All of the studies on this subject seek the causes of the Kurdish question in the early Republican period. This study attempts to explain the changes and continuities in the state policy on the Kurdish issue in the period of the Democratic Party, which is a controversial period of Turkish political life. The thesis consists of four parts. The first chapter involves conceptional explanation. The second examines the state and Kurdish tribal relations during the Empire period. The third section focuses on the politics of re-established identity and the Republic of Turkey period. In the last part, the Democratic Party's state policies on the Kurdish issue are followed.
