Abstract (EN)
The best way to determine how exposed a person to radioactive and hazardous contaminants within their body is to examine urine samples. Urine samples from male and female volunteers in the Al-Diwaniyah governorate in southern Iraq were obtained for the current investigation to measure the quantities of uranium and hazardous elements including lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), and cadmium (Cd) in urine. This study uses two techniques atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS) and fission-track analysis (FTA) with CR-39 alpha track detector to measure the amounts of toxic elements (TEC) and uranium (UC). Two groups of males and females participated in this investigation cancer prostate and breast cancer group make up the first category, and healthy people make up the second. The hospitals in the southern Iraqi city of Al-Diwaniyah governorate, which was one of the locations of combat operations during the Gulf Wars, were chosen for the collection of urine samples from cancer patients (1991-2003). Similar to this, the healthy group provided urine samples from several Al Diwaniyah governorate locations. The relationship between UC and TEC and the risk of acquiring cancer sickness is explained by this investigation. The findings show that cancer patients uranium content was higher in the urine of the healthy group's.
